Custom Rod Building

I specialize in building custom rods that are built for function. I am much more concerned with building a lightweight, sensitive, balanced, and functional rod than I am fancy wrappings and artwork. I can build just about any freshwater casting or spinning rod you may want, from an ultralight trout spinning rod, to an Extra-Heavy Flipping and Pitching bass rod. I specialize in using the MHX blanks that Mudhole.com offers. These are as near a G Loomis IMX as you will ever find, for a fraction of the cost. I use top grade components as well, such as Fuji reel seats, Fuji guides, and Grade A cork.

Some of the features that I have build into rods include:

  • Micro guides
  • Spiral wrap guide placement
  • Tennessee handles
  • The new Fuji ACS casting reel seats
  • Balancing a rod perfectly to the reel it will be mated with by epoxying weight into the butt

All custom rods are priced depending on the specifications you provide. Please call (540-808-6819) or email me (weeksrodsandreels@hotmail.com) to discuss any custom rods.
